Welcome to ReCare!
About
the project
ReCare is a European initiative that promotes reablement, a short-term, person-centred approach that helps people regain independence and confidence at home after illness or hospitalisation.
Together with caregivers in the Netherlands and Spain, ReCare is developing a free, interactive online training course that makes reablement easy to understand and apply in daily practice. The training is built on real experiences, good practices, and expert insights to strengthen collaboration between professionals, volunteers, and informal caregivers.
Project Objectives
Develop an open access and easily accessible training course for and with formal caregivers to engage and train volunteers and informal caregivers in reablement.
Test and validate the training course with the target group.
Communicate, disseminate and sustain the training course.

Platform Verbinden Met Zorg (VMZ) is a healthcare institution that provides healthcare and develops its own software (SmartVmZ) based
on healthcare-related processes. VMZ’s ambition is to support as many (care) processes as possible with (digital) tools and
standardization. Through simple connections from the software to suppliers of technology, tools and materials, it becomes
easier for the healthcare provider and the citizen to organise everything from a digital place. In addition to developing its own online tools, VMZ also supports independent healthcare providers in setting up their own teams, finding clients and
implementing digital tools in care provision to provide high-quality care.
